Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

Nice Catalogs is committed to ensuring our platform is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Accessibility Features

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements on Nice Catalogs are fully operable using a keyboard alone. Users can navigate through the interface using the Tab, Enter, Space, and Arrow keys without requiring a mouse.

Screen Reader Support

Our pages are built with semantic HTML and include appropriate ARIA labels and roles to ensure compatibility with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.

Color and Contrast

We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, meeting WCAG AA standards. Color is never used as the sole means of conveying information.

Text Sizing

All text on the platform can be resized up to 200% using browser controls without loss of functionality or content. Our layouts are fluid and adapt gracefully to different viewport sizes.

Images and Media

All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes so they are ignored by assistive technologies.

Forms

All form inputs have associated labels, clear error messages, and sufficient instructions to help users complete them accurately. Error messages are descriptive and help users understand how to correct issues.

Standards We Follow

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2 — Accessible Rich Internet Applications
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (where applicable)
  • EN 301 549 — European accessibility standard (where applicable)

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some user-uploaded content (such as product images without alt text provided by the catalog owner) may not meet our accessibility standards. We provide tools for catalog owners to add descriptive text for their products and encourage all users to do so.

We are actively working to identify and resolve accessibility gaps. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know so we can address it promptly.

Assistive Technologies

Nice Catalogs has been tested with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS)
  • Browser magnification tools
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • High contrast mode (Windows and macOS)
  • Switch access devices

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time achievement. We continuously:

  • Test new and updated features for accessibility before release
  • Train our development team on accessible design and coding practices
  • Conduct periodic accessibility audits using both automated tools and manual testing
  • Incorporate accessibility requirements into our design and development process
  • Seek feedback from users with disabilities to improve the experience
