Every few weeks someone asks me for a Loopy Loyalty alternative. Usually it's a café or a salon that likes the idea of a digital stamp card in Apple Wallet, then looks at the price and wonders if there's something simpler. I build Nice Catalogs , which has a loyalty card built in, so I'm obviously not neutral. That's exactly why I want this comparison to be fair: Loopy Loyalty is a good product, and for some businesses it's the right pick.
Below I compare the two on what matters day to day: price, what your customer has to do, what happens at the counter, and what you get beyond the card. Every Loopy Loyalty fact comes from their own website, which I checked on October 28, 2026, and every Nice Catalogs fact comes from our live pages and real screenshots from our demo account.
The short answer
- Pick Loopy Loyalty if loyalty is the whole project: you want a classic stamp card, staff scanning cards with a phone app, push messages to card holders, and several locations or card designs.
- Pick Nice Catalogs if you want a simple loyalty card (a member discount or points) that sits next to your menu or catalog, your link-in-bio page and your Google reviews, for $10 a month total.
If you only want a deeper side-by-side table, we also keep a Nice Catalogs vs Loopy Loyalty comparison page . This post is the longer, hands-on version.
What Loopy Loyalty does well
Loopy Loyalty is a dedicated digital stamp card platform for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet , made by PassKit. According to their site:
- Customers join from a QR code or link and save the card to their wallet, with no app download and no account .
- Staff use the Stamper app on iOS or Android to scan the customer's card with the phone camera, add stamps and redeem rewards. No POS integration is needed, and each staff member can have their own sub-user login.
- You can send messages to card holders : to everyone, to a segment (for example, customers close to a reward) or to one person. On iPhone they show up as lock-screen notifications, and there are location-based messages that appear when a customer is near one of your locations.
- The pricing page lists single and multi-reward cards, real-time analytics, Zapier and Make integrations and developer API access on every plan.
If you run several locations, want staff stamping from their own phones, or plan to message your card holders often, that's a strong, focused toolset. I wouldn't pretend otherwise.
Loopy Loyalty pricing (as listed on October 28, 2026)
From loopyloyalty.com/pricing :
- Starter: $25/month or $250/year. 1 card design, 1 location, up to 3 Stamper app users.
- Growth: $69/month or $690/year. Up to 3 card designs, 3 locations, 10 Stamper app users.
- Ultimate: $95/month or $950/year. Up to 10 card designs, 10 locations, 50 Stamper app users.
All plans include unlimited customers. There's a 15-day free trial, and you don't need a credit card to sign up; per their FAQ, a card is only needed when you move a project live to start issuing passes. Two things worth knowing before you commit: Loopy Loyalty doesn't offer refunds , and if you cancel, your account and loyalty cards are scheduled for deletion after the billing period ends, so customers stop getting updates. Prices and plans change, so check their page for the current numbers.
How the Nice Catalogs loyalty card works
Our loyalty card is part of the Professional plan. It's deliberately simpler than a stamp card platform, and it lives in the same dashboard as your catalogs.
1. Your customer joins from a link
You can show a "get your card" button on your link-in-bio landing page , or share the join link and print it as a QR code. In the demo, the button shows the benefit itself: "10% off every visit".
The join page asks for a name and a phone number. The birthday is optional (just day and month), and there's a consent checkbox so you only keep what people chose to share. No app, no email, no password.
2. The card stays on their phone
The card shows the customer's name, a short member code and the benefit. They can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, or simply reopen the link. If they clear their browser or change phones, the "Find my card" tab brings the card back with the same name and number.
3. At the counter, you look up the code
This is the biggest practical difference from Loopy Loyalty. There's no scanning app: the customer shows their code, you type it into the Look up tab of your dashboard, and you record the visit. On a points card each visit adds a point, and the reward is redeemed from the same screen. It works in the browser of any phone, tablet or laptop behind the counter, with nothing to install.
For a café that serves the same regulars every morning, typing a short code is quick. For a busy chain with three tills, a scan-and-stamp app is faster, and that's a fair point in Loopy's favor.
4. You pick one reward: a member discount or points
In the Setup tab you choose one reward type for the program:
- A flat member discount, like 10% off every visit. Members see member prices across your catalogs, and you can exclude specific products.
- A points card, like 8 points = a free coffee. Each recorded visit adds a point and the card shows progress.
You also brand the card with your logo and colors, with a live preview of what customers will get. The card design screen asks for a square PNG logo for the Apple Wallet pass.
5. Member prices show up in your catalog
This is the part a standalone loyalty tool can't do, because it doesn't have your menu. On a discount card, members see their price on every product, and visitors who aren't members yet see what they could save, with a link to join.
Your member list keeps names, phone numbers, join dates and visit counts, searchable by name, phone or code, and you can block a card if you need to. If you ask for birthdays, the dashboard lists this week's birthdays, each with a one-tap WhatsApp greeting.
Nice Catalogs pricing
From our pricing page :
- Professional: $10/month, or $8/month billed yearly ($96). Includes loyalty cards, plus unlimited catalogs and products, appointment booking, a custom domain, analytics, printable PDF menus and the AI tools.
- Basic: $5/month. It doesn't include loyalty cards.
There's no charge per member, per visit or per reward. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial: you add a card, pay $0.00 today, and can cancel before day 7 without being charged. Note the difference from Loopy here: our trial is shorter and asks for a card up front.

Is there a free digital loyalty card?
People search for "free loyalty cards" a lot, so I'll be direct: neither of these is free forever. Both give you a free trial, and after that you pay a monthly price. What you can avoid with both is paying per member or per stamp.
What I can give you for free is the step that pairs best with a loyalty card: asking happy regulars for a Google review. Our free Google Review Link Generator gives you a direct link to your review box, a QR code and a ready-made message. No sign-up, and the link keeps working even if you never use Nice Catalogs.
If you want the full system around that, there's a page on how review requests work in Nice Catalogs , and I wrote up the habits that actually get reviews in How to Get More Google Reviews .
Who should pick which
Choose Loopy Loyalty if:
- Loyalty is the only thing you need a tool for
- You want a classic stamp card, or more than one reward on the card
- Staff should scan and stamp from their own phones
- You want push or location-based messages to card holders
- You run several locations or several card designs
Choose Nice Catalogs if:
- You're a single café, salon, restaurant or shop and want to keep it simple
- A member discount or a points card is enough
- You also want a digital menu or catalog, a link-in-bio page and review requests, and would rather pay for one tool than three
- Typing a short code at the counter is fine for your volume
If you're a café, the page for cafes shows the menu side, and Digital Menu for Cafes covers keeping seasonal drinks up to date. Salons can look at Salon Booking Software Without Commissions , since the same Professional plan includes booking. And if you're replacing a bio link at the same time, see A Linktree Alternative for Small Businesses .
FAQ
Do customers need to download an app with either tool?
No. With both, customers join from a link or QR code and can keep the card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. With Nice Catalogs the card is also a web page they can reopen from the link.
Can I scan cards with my phone in Nice Catalogs?
Not with a scanning app. At the counter you type the member code into the Look up tab of your dashboard. If camera scanning matters to you, Loopy Loyalty's Stamper app does that.
Which is cheaper?
For one location, Nice Catalogs Professional is $10/month and Loopy Loyalty Starter is $25/month, based on both pricing pages on October 28, 2026. Loopy Loyalty's higher plans add more locations, card designs and staff users.
Can I move my members from Loopy Loyalty?
Nice Catalogs doesn't list a member import, so plan on asking regulars to rejoin with the new link. It takes them a few seconds with a name and phone number, and a sign at the counter plus a message to your best customers usually does it.
Is there a Spanish version of this guide?
Yes: Tarjeta de fidelidad digital walks through the same loyalty card in Spanish.
Try it with your regulars
If the simpler setup fits, choose your reward, design the card and share the join link this week. Start the 7-day free trial , or read the digital loyalty card page first.
